Why property management?
When Perizer Labs started researching real estate technology, one pattern kept emerging: property managers were drowning in disconnected tools. Spreadsheets for finances. Email for tenant communication. A separate portal for owners. Another app for maintenance. And they were paying hundreds a month for the privilege.
The market leaders — Buildium, AppFolio, Rent Manager — were built in 2004, 2006, 2008. They solved the problem for their era. But the interfaces feel dated, the pricing assumes large portfolios, and none of them put property managers, owners, and tenants on the same platform.
We saw an opportunity to build from scratch with modern technology: real-time messaging instead of email notifications, a single unified platform instead of three separate portals, and pricing that doesn't punish small portfolios.
So we built Trurentra. We made the free tier real — not a 14-day trial, but a permanently free plan for up to 5 properties. We kept the onboarding to 5 minutes. And we shipped features based on what actual property managers asked for, not what looked good on a feature comparison chart.
Trurentra is still early. We ship fast, listen to our users, and build what matters. If something is missing, tell us — it's probably already on our roadmap.
